Community Cleanup: Making a Difference Together
April 27, 2025 – The Week of Earth Day

Despite a rainy Saturday delay, our community came together on Sunday for a cleanup event that truly made an impact. With Earth Day as our inspiration, ten dedicated volunteers tackled key areas, including the pond, creek bed, drainage sites along Lockhouse Drive, and the outflow area leading out of the community.
Together, we removed 120 pounds of trash—a
huge win for our shared spaces! Beyond trash pickup, volunteers cleared sticks near the gazebo, removed a rotted tree and tangled vines near the bridge, and hauled away natural debris along the walking path. Special thanks to Mike and Erin Del Balzo, Wes and Nicole, Bella, Denise, Jessica, and a student volunteer and his Uncle for their hard work.

To support the effort, the community rented a roll-
out container from the county and provided essential supplies like paper bags, gloves, and trash grabbers. We also tackled some overdue maintenance at the clubhouse, cleaning out trash cans holding garbage since Thanksgiving and giving the kitchen and storage room a thorough spring cleaning.
Looking ahead, we plan to conduct next year's
cleanup in March to get ahead of the brush growth and make the work more manageable.
Thank you to everyone who pitched in—your commitment to keeping our community beautiful is inspiring!
Let’s keep the momentum going and make this a tradition for years to come.
